Did you know Sesame Street is celebrating its 50th birthday this year? At Super Simple, we’ve always been inspired by the passion, creativity, and love you see in each and every episode of Sesame Street. Big Bird, Grover, Cookie Monster, Oscar the Grouch, Kermit, Ernie & Bert, Elmo…they’ve all been a huge part of our lives.
We’re also huge fans of the music of Sesame Street. We grew up singing classics like “Sing,” “C is for Cookie,” “People In Your Neighborhood,” and the “Sesame Street Theme (Sunny Days)”. Since it’s debut, Sesame Street has made high-quality music productions a staple of the show. Long before “Baby Shark” ever hit the pop charts this past year, the Sesame Street classic, “Rubber Duckie” rose to #11 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1971!
So this week we’re thrilled to celebrate Sesame Street’s 50th birthday by teaming up on a special playlist with some of our favorite songs from both Super Simple Songs and Sesame Street! Enjoy this playlist, and let us know what YOUR favorite Sesame Street song is!
