How To Teach Everything Is Going To Be Alright

Caitie is sharing tips for using the preschool song “Everything Is Going To Be Alright” in the classroom and at home for lots of fun learning with little ones. She has lots of great ideas! And she’ll lead us through the song using gestures – an excellent way to introduce a song to children. “Everything Is Going To Be Alright” was created to help little ones understand and work through the big feelings we all feel sometimes, like feeling angry, scared, shy or sad. Try it yourself!

Try some of these ideas in the classroom or at home!

  • Talk to your students or children about moments when they might have felt angry, shy, scared or sad. What made them feel that way? Did anything make them feel better?
  • Try acting out the different scenarios from the song. Divide your students into groups and have them put together a skit of the different scenes from the song.
  • Use the chorus of the song, taking a deep breath, as a part of your classroom management. It can help calm and quiet energetic students without raising your voice or giving commands.
