Finny and the family are ready to rock! We love crafts that move and these rocking shark crafts do just that while bringing a smile to anyone who plays with them.
This craft highlights teaching circle shapes, tracing, cutting, painting, stamping and glueing skills. Listen to some of your favorite Finny the Shark songs and episodes while making these adorable new friends.
Things you’ll need
- Blue construction paper
- Scissors
- Large googly eyes
- Glue stick
- Bowl for tracing
- Cotton swab
- Blue and white craft paint
- Clothespin
- Paint sponge
- Dark blue marker
First, trace a bowl onto your sheet of blue construction paper. Cut out the circle you made and fold it in half.
Next, use the clothespin to keep your circle folded in half and to make it easier to work with. Now you can sponge paint the shark’s belly by blending some white and blue paint together to make a lighter shade of blue and dabbing it in place.
While your shark’s belly dries, you can cut out a fin, flippers and tail using the same blue construction paper.
Glue the fin to the top of your shark’s body, the flippers on either side like hands, and the tail to the back of the shark. Choose some googly eyes that are in proportion to Finny and the other sharks and glue them in place.
Finally, it’s time for some shark teeth! Using your blue marker, draw a nice shark smile and three little gills on the cheek. You can make excellent teeth by dipping your cotton swab in white paint and stamping them evenly under your shark smile. Let them dry.
