We love a beautiful craft that reminds us of spring and summer. This easy stamp kite craft is perfect for all ages and makes a beautiful piece of decor when you’re done.
You can be as creative as you like when decorating your kite. Feel free to add some drawing, painting or glitter to the mix. The kite can represent your personality, so have fun thinking about colors and shapes that you love the most.

- Construction paper
- Scissors
- Glue stick
- Paper straws
- Paper plate
- Craft paint
- Ribbon
- Cotton swabs
- Bottle caps, foam stickers
Steps

Choose a piece of construction paper for the base of your kite. Prepare some shades of paint on a paper plate.

Use cotton swabs to paint colors onto the stamps and have fun stamping some spring and summer inspired patterns.
Other ways to make stamps include: using the end of a pencil for polkadots, clipping a pom pom to a clothespin, cutting out fun shapes from a potato or apple or trimming some sponges into fun shapes.

Let your kite stamp art dry completely before moving on to the next step.

Fold the piece of paper in half lengthwise.

Fold the two top corners together to the centre line.

Fold the sides in towards the centre to create a diamond shape.

Flip the paper over to reveal the diamond shape you have made and use scissors to cut it out.

Now it’s time to add the straws. You will need a glue stick and some scissors.

Glue your first straw down lengthwise. Glue your second and third straws down and trim off the excess length.

Use a colorful pipe cleaner for the tail of your kite. Fold the tip of the pipe cleaner down and add some glue. Place it inside the straw.

Add some colorful ribbons and bows to your pipe cleaner. Shape your kite tail so the kite looks like it’s flying in the wind.
