This classic Christmas craft for toddlers is getting a Super Simple twist this season. Christmas Tree photo frames make extra special memories for years to come, and they are so fun to make. We hope you create some personalized ornaments for your Christmas tree and your loved ones this season. Let’s get started!
Things you’ll need
- Medium popsicle sticks
- Paper plate
- White glue
- Craft glue gun
- Scissors
- Decorations (stickers, pom poms, gems etc.)
- Ribbon
- Pipe cleaners
- Family photo
- Pencil
Steps
Cut the popsicle sticks. Make a tree with three popsicle sticks. Have an adult cut about ¼” from one of the popsicle sticks and reserve the end for the tree trunk.
Glue the pieces together with some hot glue.
Glue the small piece to the back of your triangle. Now it’s a tree!
Choose a special pipe cleaner for your garland and wrap it around the tree.
Prepare some white glue on your paper plate. Dip the decorations in glue and decorate your Christmas tree however you like.
Use a hot glue gun to attach the ribbon. You can add a star to the top of the tree to make it complete. You can finish your craft here, or continue along with us to make it into a picture frame ornament.
When adding a family photo, use your pencil to trace along the edge of the tree so you know where to trim.
Add hot glue to the back of the frame and press the frame down onto the photo gently. Wait for it to cool.
Now you are ready to give someone a special ornament as a present or decorate the Christmas tree at home!
