- Mini paper plates
- Craft paint
- Paint brush
- Construction paper
- Googly eyes
- Pom poms
- Black marker
- Bottle cap
- Scissors
- Glue stick

First, paint the underside of a paper plate with a skin toned paint shade of craft paint. Set it aside to dry for now.

Next, trace a bottle cap onto a rosy cheeks shade of construction paper and cut out two cheeks! Draw an oval shape on black construction paper to make the singing mouth.

To make the hair, use the edge of a paper plate to draw a curve onto the construction paper. Draw a scalloped or wavy edge to make the elf’s fringe. Cut out this piece and set it aside. NOTE: The hairpiece should cover about one third of the paper plate.

Use your glue stick to glue on two googly eyes, two cheeks, the mouth, and the hair.

Next, make the hat. Cut a piece of construction paper the width of the head, then cut out the shape of the hat. Add a piece of trim and even a pom pom on top! Glue it together and add it to the caroller’s head.

To make the book, fold a piece of paper in half. Fit the book to the bottom of the plate for size. Angle cut the book on top and bottom.

Glue a second piece of paper to add some contrast. Draw some music notes with a marker. Glue all of the corners together.

Layer two pieces of paper together, draw a mitten shape, and cut both layers out. Add an accent color for the cuffs.

Glue the mittens to the bottom corners of the book. Now your carroller is ready to sing sing sing!
