Arf arf! Woof woof! Wag wag! Who loves dogs as much as we do? They offer us so much love and companionship for only a few belly rubs, treats and walks.
Here’s a fun paper plate craft that allows little ones to customize their furry friends to look like their real dogs at home or envision their dream pets.
Things you’ll need
- Paper plate
- Craft paint
- Scissors
- Construction paper
- Glue stick
- Black marker
- Googly eyes
First, paint the underside of your paper plate the color you would like your dog to be. You can use a sponge stamp to make some colorful spots. Set the plate aside to dry completely.
Next, cut out some triangles and round off the corners to make them soft like dog ears.
To make your dog nose, cut out a large oval shape for the muzzle and a circle or triangle shape for the nose.
Draw a smiling mouth from the nose with your black marker and add some dots for whiskers. You can cut out a pink tongue and glue it to the mouth if you like.
Choose some googly eyes and glue all of your pieces into place on the paper plate.
Now you have your very own dog pal! What will you name your dog?
