Want to have some Valentine’s Day crafting fun with daubers and stencil art? We have just the craft for you! This 3D card makes a lovely gift or decoration for the classroom and looks super cool once it’s finished!
Things you’ll need
- 2 shades of construction paper
- One sheet of white paper
- Scissors
- Tape
- Glue stick
- Daubers
Fold your construction paper and your white paper in half together. Cut out half of a heart with the white paper and unfold it to reveal a symmetrical heart shape.
Next, stick down your white heart in the center of your construction paper temporarily with a piece of tape. Use your daubers to decorate the edges in a fun way! Set it aside to dry.
Once dry, remove your white heart to reveal a cool pattern and a perfect heart shape.
With your colorful dotted paper, cut out the top and bottom of your heart, leaving it connected to your construction paper in the middle.
Trim a large heart around it so you end up with a lovely heart frame!
Fold your second sheet of construction paper in half. This will be your card backing. Open up your card and center your heart along the crease and glue it in place. TIP: Push out the small center heart as you glue down the border so it folds away and makes a cool pop-up surprise.
Yay! Your amazing Valentine’s Day 3D card is ready to sign and deliver. Happy Valentine’s Day!
Peekaboo Cat loves you, too!
